This is "Topic index `B'" of my index to topics that I have posted to this

[Right (Enlarge): "Descent from the Cross with the Holy Shroud," by Giovanni Battista della Rovere (1561-1627), in Galleria Sabauda, Turin. This aquatint print depicts the Descent from the Cross or Deposition of Christ, from the information on the Shroud how Jesus' body was laid on the bottom half of the Cloth and then the top half was drawn over His head and overlapped at His feet. Except that the above front and back, head to head, image on the Shroud held by angels, has the anachronistic burn marks from a fire in 1532 (see "1532"). Also Rovere wrongly depicted Jesus' right hand over His left, when on the Shroud Jesus' left hand is over his right wrist[WI98, 137]. (see Shroud Scope - the spear in the side bloodstain is in Jesus' right side[WI79, 42-44; IJ98, 2, 62; AM00, 31, 33, 101; GV01, 40, 88]). This photo is from Book, my 06Aug07" below).]
